Plasma activated water (PAW) generated from pinhole plasma jet using gas mixtures of argon (Ar) and 2% oxygen (O2) was evaluated for pesticide degradation and microorganism decontamination (i.e., Escherichia coli and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) in chili (Capsicum annuum L.). A flow rate of 10 L/min produced the highest concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at 369 mg/L. Results showed that PAW treatment for 30 min and 60 min effectively degrades carbendazim and chlorpyrifos by about 57% and 54% in solution, respectively. Essential oils of Chiliadenus lopadusanus (Asteraceae).

The essential oils from the leaves and flowers of Chiliadenus lopadusanus growing on Lampedusa Island were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC-MS. The major component was camphor (39.4% in the leaves and 24.0% in the flowers), followed in the leaves by torreyol (6.7%), t-cadinol (5.2%) and 1,8-cineole (3.8%), while in the flowers by t-cadinol (15.2%), t-muurolol (5.1%) and torreyol (4.5%). Among the compounds identified, several seem to play a role in antibacterial, antifungal, allelopathic and spasmolytic activity. Une attention particulière est accordée au fait de savoir si les élèves ayant les plus grandes difficultés potentielles bénéficient des enseignants les plus susceptibles de les faire progresser. Les données sont issues d'une enquête conduite en Argentine, au Brésil, au Chili, au Mexique.

Gli erbari sono strumenti d’importante rilevanza scientifica che conservano esempi di piante rare, endemiche o estinte, e assumono essi stessi notevole interesse come beni culturali per il loro valore storico ed estetico. Gli erbari possono essere soggetti all’attacco di diverse specie d’insetti che danneggiano le piante essiccate (exsiccata) con la loro attività di alimentazione. Il controllo di queste infestazioni è spesso aggravato dalla difficoltà di poter mettere in atto trattamenti insetticidi. In tale contesto è opportuno adoperare adeguati strumenti di monitoraggio e controllo basati su sostanze attrattive feromonali o alimentari per una corretta gestione integrata degli erbari.…
